Gandalf's Glamdring Sword: The Iconic Foe Hammer from Middle-earth

Gandalf's Glamdring Sword, also known as Foe Hammer, Beater, and the Narya Sword of the Wizard, is a legendary longsword forged by the Elves with ties to the Dwarves. This iconic weapon first appeared in *The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring* during Gandalf the Grey's visit to Bilbo's birthday party, where he showcased his magical prowess with his staff. However, its origins trace back to *The Hobbit*, where it was discovered alongside the Goblin-cleaver Orcrist and Sting during Thorin Oakenshield's quest for the Lonely Mountain.

Glamdring holds a revered place in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, standing alongside other legendary blades like Anduril, Herugrim, Hadhafang, and the Elven Knife. After Gandalf's fall to the Balrog (making him the first member of the Fellowship to perish, even before Boromir, who was slain by Orcs wielding Uruk-Hai Scimitars in their pursuit of the One Ring), he was resurrected as Gandalf the White in *The Two Towers*. Reborn with his White Glamdring and a new white staff, he continued his quest to protect Middle-earth.

Originally wielded by Turgon, King of Gondolin, Glamdring is a 44-inch longsword adorned with intricate Elvish inscriptions on its hilt. The engraving reads, *"Turgon aran Gondolin tortha gar a matha i vegil Glamdring gûd daedheloth, dam an Glamhoth"* (Turgon, King of Gondolin, wields, has, and holds the sword Glamdring, Foe of Morgoth's realm, Hammer of the Orcs). This Glamdring hilt inscription adds to the sword's mystique, complemented by a high-polish, 33-inch fullered blade and a meticulously crafted hilt.

Available in three stunning colors (White, Blue, and Black) and two plaque styles (*LOTR* and *Hobbit*), this listing highlights the Blue/*LOTR* variant. Whether as a collector's item or a display piece, Gandalf's Glamdring Sword is a must-have for any Tolkien fan.
